Hello dear friends,

I’m sorry you have not heard from me for a while. My 84-year-old father went to be with the Lord on July 11.  He had been battling congestive heart failure for the last 7 years and had been on dialysis 4 times a week since 2006.  Was he tired?  You bet.  He was ready to meet his Maker and it didn’t happen a day too soon for him.  So Mom, my brother, sisters and I have great peace that he is no longer suffering.  Dad was a rancher and citrus grower who woke daily at 5.30.  Interestingly enough, he passed away at 5:17 a.m. Imagine that!  He woke up in heaven!  It warms my heart greatly to think that our heavenly Father welcomed him saying, “Come follow Me, John, and I will give you rest.” Wow.  Thank you Lord.  

We are leaving on summer vacation to clear our heads and get rejuvenated.  After helping Mom with some things, I’ll have to get back to finishing the Christmas CD that hopefully you will enjoy this fall.

So, go call your father and tell him you love him.  Go do it now...
